Summary of Responsibilities:

A Senior Programmer Analyst Web is responsible for the software and virtual server infrastructures that support the corporate web environment.  This position includes, but is not limited to design, development, installation, configuration, performance tuning, security functions, maintenance, upgrades, problem analysis and resolution for the Web Infrastructure and its supporting operating system(s), web server(s), programming code, and database(s).

  • Responsible for working with departments to design and deliver efficient, effective applications that support or enhance business processes and the end-user experience. 
  • This individual may be required to architect server infrastructure and software solutions, provide documentation for these solutions, and make recommendations as to how and why a system should be implemented.
  • Explore the latest technologies in order to bring new ideas for streamlining of processes and procedures to the team, as well as enhancing/improving existing Amadeus websites.
  • General supervision is supplied by a Lead Programmer Analyst, Unit or Department Manager.  
  • Monitor Web Infrastructure: performance, security, availability
    Perform tasks to configure, administer, and support the Web Infrastructure.
  • Participate in new Web projects teams as a technical lead, design and developer.
  • Maintain and support existing applications and their users.
  • Recommend architectural and development direction for current and future Web development.
  • Stay current on new technologies.

Major Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working and developing in distributed computing technologies.
  • Core languages to include ASP.Net, C#, Java, SOAP. WSDL, RESTful, WCF, and implementations (SOA) preferred.
    Minimum 5 years experience in system design, programming, and trouble-shooting.
  • 3+ years experience in relational database management system administration (MSSQL preferred), physical database design and programming via stored procedures, triggers, T-SQL.
  • 5+ years experience web specific skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, Dynamic Web Forms.
  • Advanced understanding of LAN technologies, TCP/IP protocols and protocol administration including Firewalls, DNS & Domains.
  • Advanced administrative skills with network operating systems (MS Windows preferred).
  • Understanding of SEO, social media, internationalization & localization.
  • Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Mobile device development experience is not required but recommended.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technology degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimal travel.
