Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Management of testing & quality assurance processes for high visibility client-facing IT projects, reporting to Implementation Director.
  • Serve as client focal point for test systems, test strategy and test execution.
  • Interface with global product management and applications development teams to maintain broad functional knowledge of Amadeus Airline IT systems including reservations, ticketing, inventory and departure control systems.
  • Assist Airline IT clients in development of test strategy, mirroring client test phases with Amadeus standard testing phases and methodology.
  • Define KPIs for each testing phase in line with client agreement and ensure they are enforced.
  • Leverage functional knowledge and implementation program scope to support test plan & test script design.
  • Monitor progress of test execution and coordinate user acceptance signoff.
  • Maintain a testing dashboard and keep it up to date for management reporting.
  • Monitor test environment stability and report any outages impacting client testing.
  • Work closely with Development and Operations to define end-to-end test monitoring tools.
  • Propose methods, procedures and tools in order to improve quality standards.
  • Create and deliver training regarding the test environment and test tools.
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations related to testing and quality assurance.
  • Develop strong working relationships quickly with client personnel as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Interfaces with: Product Management, Development, Implementation, Operations, Airline Client.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Has experience in managing QA for large IT projects or programs, with a team of 20+ employees/contractors.
  • Experience in the airline industry is highly desirable specifically, on customer facing IT systems implementation.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to all levels within the company.
  • Experience at working proactively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experienced in eliciting cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including clients and contractors.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Up to 25% (both domestic and international).
  • Multi-week international travel may be required initially for onboarding.
  • University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
